Roman blinds

Roman blinds

Roman blinds are smart alternative to curtains, often allowing a modern and minimalist look to be achieved.
The roman blinds I make are lined as standard, from a choice of either cotton lining or blackout lining, and interlining can also be added which gives more body to a lightweight fabric choice. I attach the lining to the main facing fabric by hand, so there are no lines of unsightly machine stitching across the front of the blind. The only visible machining stitching is for joining fabric widths on a wide a blind; for attaching Velcro (which is not seen) at the top of the blind, and for creating the rod pockets on the lining fabric.
I supply Roman blinds on either a traditional wooden batten system or on a high quality rotary chain headrail system. This latter system is particularly effective for larger, or heavier, roman blinds. My blinds are also suitable for the Somfy range of automated battery powered headrail systems. Each headrail option also complies with current child safety regulations.

Whilst Roman blinds are an effective way of displaying fabric to its full effect, trimmings such as a bead or pom-pom trimmings, braid, and contrasting borders can also be used to add extra embellishments.

"By choosing a bespoke, handmade, and made-to-measure option for roman blinds there are many ways in which to create a truly unique window dressing."
